World Bank's report reveals that inequality in Thailand begins very early in life. Educational gaps and occupational differences are the largest drivers of income inequality in the country. Factors such as limited educational opportunities, low farm incomes, an aging population, and high household debts all contribute to this disparity. World Bank Country Manager for Thailand, Mr. Fabrizio Zarcone, emphasised that the government needs to ensure policies are provided to vulnerable groups with enough support to increase their resilience.
